Does anybody know if the lack of masturbation has anything to do with the increased susceptibility to getting the cold or flu? I have realised that when i do not masturbate for a while i get the cold or the flu, and this has happened on quite a few occasions.

When i masturbate i tend to feel better and my cold or flu starts to heal quicker, is there a proven link or is this just coincidential?

ahhhhh.......no. Masturbation takes your thoughts off the flu and gives you sexual pleasure. So you "orgasm" and your head feels lighter and of course you feel better. Dont listen to that jessica g girl either her information is completely flawed.

Masturbation can:

* help reduce stress
* release sexual tension
* alleviate menstrual cramps
* work wonders when a person is having trouble falling asleep
* stimulate the immune system to help build up resistance to infections like the common cold
* release mood-elevating hormones that help ward off depression
* reduce embarrassing spontaneous erections for teen guys
* reduce the number of unwanted wet dreams

Aside from the fact that there is no governmental study in this area, a lot may depend on your own personal immune system as well as a personal attitude.

For me, I have never noticed a causal link
