How can anybody support Democrats?

when all ANY of them want to do is see the USA defeated at all costs, when they want to allow our allies to be destroyed from within their own countries, when they want to allow homegrown terrorism to survive within our own borders, when they are perfectly willing to allow enemy combatants cross our borders with impunity?

I had to laugh when I read bettysdad's answer. Knowledgeable people know that every single thing that has benefitted Americans over the last 100 years was done by liberals?

OK, let's see what they given us:

Social Security - A program that barely gives seniors enough to live on, when they could have invested their own money and made a ton more, takes 6.2% off of the top of every paycheck we get, has unfunded mandates out the wazoo, and will never be seen by anyone under 45.

Medicare - A program that was supposed to cost $10 billion at this point in time now costs over $100 billion, has raised medical costs through the roof for the rest of us, takes 1.45% off of the top of every paycheck we get, once again has unfunded mandates out the wazoo, and now gives seniors prescription benefits that the rest of us have to pay for so that they can live longer and suck more money off of the government teat.

Medicaid and every other state-funded health care program for the poor - Another great one. Now we have every hospital in the country flooded by people who don't have to pay for their medical coverage, complaining about splinters and chest colds, while those of us who do pay for our insurance through work and have co-pays are treated like vermin whenever we go to the doctor, having to foot the bill up front.

Welfare - Paying able-bodied people not to work. Creating disincentives for them to ever get off the program. Don't even want to mention how much this one costs us and has produced an entitlement class of people.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Just think what they could give us if we didn't have the other side fighting against all of this. Wow, we could have single-payer health care so that we could look like freaking Canada, with tax rates out the ying-yang. We could pay off every petty dictator instead of standing up for themselves (I believe Rome tried this, and look where the hell they are today).

Please tell me Betty's not going to grow up like her father. If she does, let's make sure she never votes. I don't need another liberal trying to ram more government down my throat.

Wow I don't think any American wants to see America defeated. I think you just believe what your lying good for nothing ultra conservative right-wing bible thumping republicans tell you. This question just shows why America will be a target for years to come. You want to make the Dems villains for questioning Herr Fuhrer Bush's power, for trying to keep citizens rights in place and for trying to make friends with the rest of the world instead of blowing everyone up. Who are these allies that we are allowing to be destroyed? I don't think it's our job to do anything outside the U.S. unless we are asked. I don't understand why you right-wingers always want us to be the police force of the world. It's this type of foreign policy that puts the target on America. Fighting isn't always the answer.

And before you go calling me a liberal coward or some other crap, let me set you straight. I support whoever I think will do the best job, I'm not against the military I'm a veteran. I don't think religion has any place in politics and I want to see America's borders wide open. But I also don't want to see the Republicans continue to destroy every ounce of credibility and morals this country has.

Because it is so much easier to choose the path of least resistance. It is much easier to shout tax the rich and help the poor than it is to help the poor yourself. It is so much easier to say big corporations are evil and that you support the little guy than to start a business and create jobs and run your business according to liberal economic models that guarantee you will fail. The Labor Unions in this country did some good things when they started out. They became obsessed with greed and power and made it so that American companies could not compete with foreign companies. Liberals again point at big corporations that are moving operations overseas and say greed! Sorry, but companies are in business to make money!
When I was a kid made in Japan meant junk, made in the USA meant quality. Today made in CHina means junk, made in Japan means quality and made in the USA is a collectors item.

If your not not Christian, if you are in favor of gay rights or abortion rights, and if you have relatively decent intelligence then you are a democrat.

If you are a Christian who tries to force your beliefs on others, a rich man, egotistical, believe that the US should dominate the world using terror, or are against any personal rights then you are a rep.\

Terrorism and crime is everywhere mate, you can't get rid of it.
There weren't too many people who wanted to see us all dead before we started messing in things we shouldn't have messed with

I could support them by carrying them onto aircraft, deporting them, and sending them to any Communist country who would love to have them! I'd gladly show them the way out of U.S. airspace for good. Not a problem! Anyone got a plane?
