The homosexual agenda, lol.?

Ok, where on earth do u crazy homophobs get the idea that we have an agenda? What on earth would we be trying to promote other than tolerance and education? Teaching children to not hate others because they are different is essential in todays world, because like it or not, there are gay people. And there are black people, and there are asian people, hispanic people. There are mixed couples. We want to teach children to not be afriad of those differences, to change the future, so that we dont have hate crimes and so that crime rates in general go down. Not just against homosexuals. Why would u want to teach your kids to hate anyone?

We are not trying to teach children to be gay, if they are gay, no one is going to change that. If they are straight, no one is going to change that. So, for all of u out there who think we have some secret agenda to 'change the world', lol, your being irrational and paranoid. All we ask is to be treated as human beings.

To CJ: You are skirting the issue here. Just because you have been taught to spread your hate doesnt mean your children should be. What would u do if one of your kids came to u and said, Dad, Im gay. I hope you dont hate me? Ponder that for a moment.

Finally, someone with some common sense! My step-sister and I have this debate all the time and it gets so tiring. She thinks that schools today are being used as recruiting grounds for the next generation of homosexual teenagers. In a matter of minutes she argued with me, first that homosexuality is a choice, then later that it's a disease. I found her ignorance amusing, actually. It's another example of simply being scared of something that's different or that someone doesn't understand. (My rebuttle to her statements, FYI, was that something cannot be a choice and a disease simultaneously. Cancer is a disease...you cannot CHOSE to have it.)

My point here is that, I, as a hetersexual, am not in the least intimidated or put-off by gays or lesbians. In fact, I have several friends and coworkers that are homosexual, and at no point have I ever thought less of them for their sexual preference. My family disagrees with my thinking, but I've made it very clear to all of them that when I have children, I will not tolerate any of them preaching their messages of hate around them. Furthermore, if, somewhere down the line, one of my children were to come to me and announce that he/she is homosexual, it would never change my love for my child.

Believe what you want to believe, and be small-minded if you're really too afraid to change your ignorant ways, but for the sake of man-kind, don't breed more hate.

I have never heard of any gay agenda. I do agree with what you are saying however, unfortunately I think that you need to develop a thick skin. I wish it would go away, but it wont. People are much more open and accepting of homosexuals now more than ever, but still, it will never be a completely accepting society for gays in the U.S. People are still too wrapped u in what they have been taught, told and exposed to. Just as much as you want to TEACH tolerance and acceptance and love, these people have been TAUGHT the opposite, that being gay, regardless of love and emotion is a sin. I just cant see some people who cling to faith getting past that. I hope I am wrong here, but I don't think I am. If it's any consolation, I'm straight, married with two boys, we definitely teach acceptance and expression. I hope you get the opportunity to do the same as much as possible with your children! The "homosexual agenda" is a lot of right wing propoganda to deny civil rights to a whole section of citizens in a nation that is supposed to be a democracy. They used the same scare tactics against people of color and against women in general. The real agenda is about a small group of white males who want to hold on to their privileges and power at the expense of the majority.

If we teach people not to hate, no one will be afraid any more, Dearest and then all of the government's and the military's secrets will then be exposed, we don't need formalised religions anymore because we figure out for ourself that God doesn't hate people of other faiths like we were told, and all the old illusions just fall away.

someone - I wonder why you immediately go right to sex when talking about homosexuals? Homosexuals happen to fall in love with the same sex, they just don't have sex with the same sex. BTW - Just as a note, heterosexuals have anal intercourse as well as homosexuals. Not all homosexuals have anal intercourse, and I am one of them. Why don't you try to learn about the homosexual culture first before spewing things you have no knowledge of?
