I found a brooch lying in the gutter which turned out to be solid gold and studded with 5 diamonds. I was in Germany, didn't speak the language so I had no idea where to turn it in to. I hung around waiting to see if anyone was looking for it, but nobody showed, so I kept it.
I picked up a pretty blue and white plate for $2 in a junk shop bin that I later found out was a rare plate from 1820 and worth $300. It's on display above my door.

I found a $20 bill in the street one time. I always find pennies often.

The greatest thing of value I've found is my daughter, as for what I did with her, just love her and be very proud!
