Starskey & Hutch although technically thats a remake of a TV series. So if it's strictly a movie than The Italian Job. Not a bad film in it's own right but just using the tittle of a classic for marketing purposes.

Get Carter with Silvester Stallone - Michael Caine was gritty and tough, and so was the location in Newcastle Upon Tyne - even the way the film was shot was grainy and rough. Sly hammed it up too much and the whole thing came across weak and as hard as a plate of jelly

Psycho films, not a patch on the original. But in my opinion, all remakes are rubbish, they are just trying to make a fast buck, but get it wrong every time

One that springs to mind is Night Of The Hunter, in the original Robert Mitchum was so chilling and scary, Richard Chamberlain was not very good at all.
