I have since given up my hp no. But for the last few days whenever my direct line rings I freak out. There will be no sound and then someone puts down the receiver. I cant change my office no. when I feel like it. Wud appreciate some advice. By the way, are people who make prank calls mentally ill?

Most of these calls are from telemarketing companies where they ring a lot of numbers together and the first ones to answer are taken and the rest are hung up, the best thing is to contact your phone comany and report them as nuisance calls.

Contact the phone company and the police. They'll trace the calls and put an end to it. You could also try caller ID and give the number to the police.

They're stupid and have nothing to do, so much time on their hands. The best thing to do is to tell your superiors and maybe they'll change the number, and if that didn't work, then you should call the police. This is the best way to stop it.
