I live in Tennessee and see many things I like which are good for my climate, but am not sure that the local nurseries carry all of them , such as Achillia or Alyssus. Can you easily order stuff like this online and have it shipped safely to you for reasonable price?
does anybody recommend one?

You can order through mail order. Just remember that the pictures generally look better than what you may receive. Also alot of times the colors are deceiving. Having owned a Garden Center for 10 years, I can tell you I have had many customers who were disappointed with mail order because of color, size of the plant and sometimes they are incorrect of the zone. I would recommend you go to a local Garden Center and if you don't see what you are looking for don't be afraid to ask if they can get it in. We can't inventory everything, but will always try to locate a customers request.

I have had good luck with mail order plants. Still, I prefer to buy plants locally when I can because they are usually bigger and I can choose the particular plant I want. I suggest you check out the local nurseries first. Sometimes they will even special order plants for you. For plants that are not available at the nurseries, mail order is a good idea, just know the plants will be very small and need a little extra care. Good luck!

My mother use to order from Michigan Bulb co. I don't know if they still exist or not. The thing with mail order is the plant looks pretty ragged, especially perennials, another reputable company is Cottage Farms,or Wayside Gardens. These growers ship plants not seeds and C.Farms & W.Gardens are in Alabama and S.Carolina, closer to your zone. Hope this helps you. Happy Planting!!!!!!

I 2d Bluestone Perennials. they are extra much less costly than the extra useful ordinary clothing, their high quality is tops and the service is incredible. I did a wholesale enterprise with them for years yet they actual have a retail side. despite you do, stay away from Michigan Bulb and different mail-order rip-offs that sound so much less high priced of their classified ads in the Sunday supplementations. keep in mind, you get what you pay for!

I have had great success with ordering plants on line. Here are a few of my suppliers, just add "dot com" to the end of each name. Park Seeds, Wayside Garden, Aloha Tropicals, Reimer Seeds, Burpee seeds, Seymore Gardens. There are a lot of sources, what are you looking for? good luck. . . want cuttings? Email my avatar.
