Wow! That's a name from the past.. I vaguely remember them.. Actually I did like them If I recall.. Not sure about hits..but they did have a few good songs.. Having grown up in that era.. I used to listen to a band from L.A. called Rhinoceros.. ever hear of them?

Every band, even the "One hit wonders" seem to have a greatest hits album. I can only remember a couple songs by Mott the hoople. A cover of All the young dudes, and All the way from Memphis.

David Bowie was a Mott the Hoople fan, and he wrote "All The Young Dudes" for them because they were in danger of disbanding. The song was a big hit, but the band still broke up.
