I know many women and men in this world remain single and unmarried all their life without any adopted children or even pets at all. And STILL they live as a decent human being. And they are fine and okay with their life. Do you think you are able to do so when you are old?

No, Because I have JESUS in my heart and being a Christian, and having a strong faith is all I need to keep on, until the day I die!!!
I was born alone, and alone I most die!!! I don't wish anybody dying with me just because I may be or feel alone!!!
And any way, I don't feel alone because I have JESUS THE LORD in my heart!!

Being alone is totally up to you. There are places to go and meet people everywhere. Here they have many social event planned for seniors to meet new people. I think alone is not something you have to be.
