Go to the command prompt (Start, run, cmd) and type shutdown /?

It will give you a list of shutdown options for your local computer and a remote computer.

Another option is to use remote desktop and, once connected, do a typical shutdown on that computer.

You should try a software like remote desktop which comes free for windows, or realvnc (http://realvnc.com) which is also free. If you want something even better, remotely anyware or pc anyware will give you more options.

Good luck
