Think about it. If it wasn't for the Mafia, booze would still be illegal, Prohibition would still be in place and you would be at the whim of the Women's Christian Temperance Union.

In all fairness, prohibition would have eventually been reversed without the help of the mafia. They may have been a catalyst for this reversal, but it wasn't much of a success.
However, they have motivated a genre of movies which has kept my boyfriend entertained for years! And when he's happy, I'm happy.
