The huge surge in black immigration to the UK from the West Indies in the 1950s was of hard-working Christians of low education. They got fairly menial jobs and could only afford to live in the poorer areas of our cities.
The sudden influx of poor people, identifiable by their skin colour, caused resentment; the black community was marginalized. Their children went to inner-city schools and got failed to achieve. They became increasingly resentful of their perceived discrimination and saw authority figures, particularly the police, as their enemies. In the early 1970s we had a lot of disenchanted young black youths who saw that their only way of achieving any sort of wealth was through crime. Virtually all muggings in London at one time were by black teenagers.
Now crack cocaine offers new opportunities. The proceeds are huge and the competition is stiff and there are vast numbers of firearms in circulation from the former Soviet Union.
It’s all come home to roost.

So ferrisob1 thinks I know F all about it - hard luck, I was a Met cop for 30 years so I know EXACTLY what is going on. The black community has become more and more criminalised since the second generation in the 1960s and it has got progressively worse, helped by using the race card whenever the police have tried to do anything. Look at Brixton 1981 - that was NOT caused by the police - far from it, they were using kid gloves with the black community compared with policing elsewhere.
The government, senior police management and the black community know full well that this is a BLACK problem that only the black community can solve, yet are intimidated to such an extent that it is almost impossible for them.
The cruel truth of the matter is that this is going to get worse and worse until we REALLY and there is in reality little that can be done. A lot if innocent young black men are going to die, killed by guilty young black men. Just watch the news and see if I am right.

OK, I guess I'm setting myself up for a downfall here, but I think a lot of the problems come from the blacks themselves (though it's NOT JUST this group that has this problem).
It's a well known fact that there is an issue with young black males - er- shall we say sowing their seeds wherever they can, with the result that there are far too many black kids being brought up in single parent families where there are no father figures.
No-one to guide, no safe male role model, so these kids get their role models elsewhere, and too often the sources are at best dodgy.
Gangster film stars, rappers who glorify violence, drugs and beating women - they all influence these youngsters whose mothers cannot control them.
Is it any wonder their lives are a mess? I have heard black church leaders and community leaders on the radio and TV discussing this problem but they don't seem to have an answer; I have no idea either what could be done.
And before anyone calls me racist, I accept 100% that the same or similar problems exist in other ethnic groups (white chavs! eg) but this question was asked about black youths, so I am answering about them.

I think your statement here is well out of date in certain parts but over all correct. There are just as many poor white familys with financial difficulties, who have no chance of gaining any meaningful employment but they don't go round brandishing Guns and instigating 'gangland killings'.
Unfortunately it is part of BLACK culture. It is glorified by rappers and many films on TV or at the movies where it is the cool thing for a black guy to be in a gang, blinged up and carrying a gun to protect himself especially from other different black gangs. Most of it is to do with drugs and 'tit for tat' murders between rival gangs.
Until these people are dealt with properly and recieve jail sentances or the threat of deportation to the recent immigrants then things will only get worse. If there is no real fear and people are championing their 'human rights' should realise that, far from helping them, they are making the whole thing worse.
If people cannot see this then they need to take a long hard look at themselves, forget this racist adjenda seeking and take an honest genuine look at what is happening. The facts will bear me out and it is not racist towards black youth.. it is what is happening especially in the big cities.
I have black friends who tell me the same, its the underlying culture and although some white gangs are armed it is more knives than guns. One even told me he was offered a gun from a friend but he was smart enough to turn it down and distance himself from him. It is not all blacks like I say but it is a disturbing trend that needs stopping now before other young lives are needlessly lost...

We should stop saying that it is the colour of the skin - we have a multi cultured society in the UK now and the thing of the colour has to be accepted now. Therefore we need to concentrate on the causes of these dreadfull losses of lives by getting to the root of the cause. Which in my own opinion is education of our children. We need to get the drug barrons out of the country and man our borders intercepting all and sundry to stop the import of drugs etc., once and for all. Guns etc., should also be included in this interception. The laws need to be changed it is of no use the police catching the criminals and the court system letting them down with low sentances. One strike before you are approx 16years means that any other strike will automatically get a 'true' long sentance. Education may be expensive but ignorance is by far more so expensive as we are now experiencing.

Yes and no.
People will always commit crime. Much of it can be attributed to elements within particular social or racial groups, often for political reasons.
But we often ignore that the most prominent criminals are not black, not poor and not young. I don't recall the last time I saw a Mafia godfather in a hoodie.

The government and the law need to stamp down hard on this gang culture or Britain will be like the USA where there are 'gangs' 10,000 strong spread all around the country.
I refer to gangs such as MS13.

There is nothing wrong, everything is progressing as planned. It’s the NWO taking one more step to it’s final conclusion. Keep an eye out for the new laws and the resulting loss of liberty for everyone.

The fact that they are black has nothing to do with it, there are people of all races and wealth who use guns illegally or get shot. We need to get to the root of the problem and not blame skin colour.

It comes more from the culture of wanting easy money by breaking the law. I'd say most of the black s are either criminals themselves or victims of gang .
