If there's anbody or anything filthy, then that must be KUYASAYA's brainless head! So disgusting remark for a person whose name is as filthy as any dirt you can find. I think he / she was describing his / her place more than the Philippines. Because if he/she has been here then he/she must have acted stupid while here and received stupid accommodation which he deserved that's why he said those words.

Seriously, there are lots of beautiful places to go to in the Philippines like Boracay, Bohol, Cebu, Palawan, Sipalay (****** Occidental), etc.

Dont trust the word of the lady from Costa Rica, she's biased because obviously she's from there. And I may be bias as well, because im from the Philippines. But judge for yourself and tell me bad words if you find the places i mentioned not good.

I mean not to say bad things to other people but I just wonder how they live daily being stupid and speak of stupidity!

I'm with you on this one cernad. I'm glad there are people on this site who make sense. I get riled up by all the stupid answers, too. People of a certain type get exposed to people on the same level as they are. I don't want to be judgmental but we should try not to generalize. Just because someone says that their bathroom is no more than a hole in the ground that does not mean everyone's bathroom is. They probably lived in a depressed area or a squatter. We have a house in a rural area far from the city but we have a really good septic system, plumbing and every convenience you could think of. Not all of the Philippines is "poor" and depressingly lacking. It's just the same as saying that the US is scary if you only consider the slums. Every country has its share of the good, the bad and the ugly.
As to your question, mae, the country is as good as any to visit. If you're looking for sun and sand (and not winter snow for a ski holiday), then it could be nice for you.

It depends on the kind of person you are. I have spent Christmas and New years in the Philippines recently and I enjoyed it because I was able to bring tears of joy to children's hearts with buying fun toys that their parents could not afford.

If more people can put aside their selfish spirit and find ways to bring joy to a small child's heart, spending the holidays in the Philippines can be joyful and fulfilling.

Yes, the Philippines is a poor country but so what.
Jesus Christ was born in a dirty barn in Bethleham.
He is the greatest human being that ever lived on this earth.

We have the most diverse culture in the world... It is a fusion of Spanisn. American, and Asian. The Filipino character is actually a little bit of all the cultures put together. Filipinos are probably one of the few, if not the only, English-proficient Oriental people today. The country is marked by a true blend of cultures; truly in the Philippines, East meets West. Hospitality, a trait displayed by every Filipino, makes us legendary in Southeast Asia. Seldom can you find such hospitable people who enjoy the company of their forgein visitors. I Do beleive that no matter how beautiful a place is it is the people who make the visit all worthwhile. Hey if you are planning to visit the Philippines I will not hard sell it to you check out our Tourism Departments website and be the judge... One advice... we have 1,107 islands for you to enjoy!

It pains me to see people downgrade our country. Why such a cheap shot? Who's country is sparkling clean and neat anyway? I have been around the world from eating in lilly leaves at the Incan montains to Christmas surfing at N.Z. but I have never criticized a country. Sure thay may not be at the top of my list but I respected thier diversity and our differences. Anyway any criticism reflect who his people represent.

confident the Philippines is an extremely stable place for a trip, and there's a few thing for each guy or woman. all the great islands are different from one yet another, interior the way they bypass approximately issues. you need to come to a determination first, what you like out of your trip, in case you opt to bypass scuba diving do no longer bypass to Baguio. there is a number of of alluring atmosphere, boat journeys, alluring seashores. As mentioned the each physique is heat, friendly and hospitable, purely like the factors. I visited right here a number of situations, and made many friends. I now stay on the Island of Cebu. I met a interior reach female on considered one of my many travels right here, so perchance i'm biased. As I write this, the temperature is 86ºF, the sky is blue, and the palm fronds are swaying to the cool breeze from off the alluring blue sea. My suggestion study the Lonely Planet handbook, and choose the places which you will fairly decide to work out, you will no longer have time for all of them.

I had a good time in Cebu a few years back although I was staying with the wrong woman. The mountain is fantastic and its peak a relief from the heat. I like the homes on the mountain side. The food was pretty good too. Something called Milk fish marinated and fried yummy.

It's the safest, friendliest, cheapest, easiest, most beautiful country that I've ever visited (more than 70 in 30 years).
Don't go to the usual shitty tourist destinations, and you will find genuine people, you won't be hassled all day long by vendors, kids won't hold out their hands asking for money and you will also find more beautiful, natural places untouched by the revolting garish concrete block houses/hotels built by most people in the 'supposed' best tourist places.
Mass tourism destroys any place on Earth, and it happens here aswell.

Yes. Compared to kuyasaya's homeland, the Philippines is a clean, loving, and friendly country that welcomes its visitors. Food is good, healthcare is good, everything is inexpensive, and most people speak excellent English.

Hey, I just moved to the Philippines and I would definitely say no.
I think it'll be good to check out a beach like Boracay and I would say that's about it.
For me, im just a teenager and I enjoy life as much as anyone since I've been traveling my hole entire life and to me, I can't stand it over here.

If you ask me, a better place to see the best of the best is to check out Costa Rica.
Seriously, I don't think there's any place better than Costa Rica.
