One day I turned on the computer and it said I had to re-install windows. why would this happen ? where can i get the disc to re-install it ?

It probably means you have a nasty virus.
You could try switching the machine off and on for a few times and maybe everything will resume to normal.
If not you will have to buy the disc from any computer/ electrical shop.

You can buy a copy at almost any store that sells computers, Best Buy usually has good prices. If you don't have the disc that came with your computer you can try restore to see if that helps. play around with it before you pay for something you should already have. Also a call to the manufacturer may help they may send you the disc for less money but thats a stretch.
