and yet they're extremely intolerant of anyone who wholeheartedly believes that homosexuality is immoral, unnatural, etc?

Jimmy - They don't? Then why are they so quick to criticize me just because I'm making a valid point?

Wouldnt you be pretty intolerable of people who thought the way you lived was wrong and immoral? Or told you that being with the person you love is a sin?
just for thought. Why be ignorant?
its a sensitive subject for me.

If you're going to argue that homosexuality is unnatural then I think you should get your facts straight. Same gender relationships extend into the animal kingdom, even before humans existed. And since we look to animals to see what is "natural" then that means your answer is null and void.
For the immoral part. Are you defining what is immoral by your religion? If so that is close minded because your religion isn't the only one.

I believe that being hateful of people based on their love for each other is immoral, although may be natural... I'm starting to believe that humans have a natural fear of those things we do not understand.. rather than seeing the love between two people, folks see a couple that looks different than one they've seen before and hide behind their bible.... interacial couples went through the same thing....

CJ - Why would the "homosexual agenda" be allowed to penetrate school systems when there are a lot of religious teachers? Why would Christian teachers promote tolerance for differences? Because they do not want children growing up to have bigotry like you.

Please explain to me how your hatred, your closeminded homophobia has anything to do with tolerance?
Should black people be tolerant of whites calling them the N word? Should mexicans be tolerant of calling them spicks? I think not. And dont go on about how that is different because it is no different. Hatred is hatred. You have a right to your opinion, regardless of how narrowminded and ignorant it may be, but u do NOT have a right to force it upon anyone else or voice it to the people who u are intolerant of. Period, end of story.
So, when u ask why gay people want straight people to be tolerant of them, ask yourself this. Am I tolerant of people treating me like Im less than human for something out of my control, such as, oh let me see, who I fall in love with? If you can honestly answer that question with a yes, your fooling yourself kid.

Who else should we tell? It seems that some of your team mates are a bit simple minded in thinking if they don't tolerate someone or something it will disappear. If this were true websites like this one wouldn't be as over-run with these types of immature and ignorant questions.

I see there are some "sensitive people" out there.Since I don't care if your gay straight or bi,it does bother me when these people (any one of the groups mentioned)goes about and tries to push their superior lifestyle on someone else. It's the same for Jews, Blacks ,Asians, Whites, and Martians.Everybody has something to complain about. It's time to grow up and enjoy the life your given.Do the best you can to help others and remember to wash your hands after using the toilet.

I tolerate your being straight....come to think about it....I don't really have a problem with it...in fact, my parents were straight and I loved them too,
I think happy people want others to be happy and unhappy people look for things to get uptight and judgmental about, look for things to make an issue out of so they can inflict their misery on others.

I don't mean to be offensive, but I don't know. They want us to accept things that are unnatural as natural. Pretty soon there are going to be ones who say, hey "age ain't nothing but a number, if I want to be with a four-year-old it's my preference". But it's not natural God mad a woman for a man, not man for man. You can't plug a plug into a plug, it just doesn't work.

Walk in a gay person's shoes. Find out the hate that they must endure, The fear of physical harm. One does not have to be gay to be bashed, they only have to be perceived as gay.
But also... experience the strength that they find when gays learn to hold their head high and live and experience the rights that they lobby for... the rights for equality.
Note: to someone's answer. WHERE DID U GET THE INFORMATION that gays compare their struggle to the perils of slavery????? WHERE? Tell me your source.
