If you have a late night, you aren't getting enough sleep, hence feeling shattered the next day.

That's what coffee is for the next day. ha ha

Seriously, I blame winter blahs. Not to worry, Spring is round the corner. ;-)

I think you are probably appreciating the quiet time you get when your kids are asleep. You need to establish a routine where you go to bed earlier do you like reading if you are not tired at bed time you could get yourself an interesting book and sit up in bed reading. I was going to bed late and feeling tired all the time at work so I started a routine where every night I have a bath at the same time I live alone so usually at 8pm then I do something fun like watch a DVD or spend time on the computer skyping my family. I then go to bed at 10.30 I used to take kalms sleep tablets until the routine was established I find if I go to bed at the same time and get up at the same time I feel better during the day time. good luck

You must be single

Overweight

and depressed

Keep that lifestyle up and you will stay that way.

These are choices you are making. A choice to stay up all night by your own admission.

Get in the habit of going to sleep earlier, wake up and exercise, then get on with the rest of your day.

You will naturally be tired at the end of the day.

The choice is yours.

You do need some quiet time after the kids are in bed, but you control how late that is. Watching TV or being on the internet will only keep you awake longer.

Read a book.

Keep a journal.

Pray

do some gentle stretching exercises

have a bath

It is your lifestyle choice.

Set a good example for your kids.

You won't feel "shattered" the next day

Start feeling proud of yourself

Be your own best friend

Not your own enemy

P.S. This is meant to be helpful and I know the truth isn't easy to hear but if you take my advice, you will start to feel better.

Open doors to new possibilities and start believing in yourself.

You can do it.

Don't watch the TV- it stimulates your brain and can interrupt your sleep. Instead try to wind down- maybe burn some relaxing incense or listen to some soothing music. Just stop and relax for at least half hour before you go to bed.

Camomile is good for relaxation- either as a tea or as incense.

If this does not help, and your are having a big problem sleeping, then I would suggest going to your GP.

Because, your body clock is out of whack. You need to stay up for an entire day and finally go to bed at an appropriate time. After being up for over 24 hours you will be able to sleep.

Once the kids are in bed, i do just the same. I need the time to unwind, however tired i am. Sounds like you are haiving the time to yourself which is great. Can get into a vicious circle tho.

Its a merciful release - a "whew - my time now" - need to chill - have a horlicks & go to bed - any fluid will help u feel less groggy in a morining - u will dehydrate a lot in ur sleep
