I would probably have to go old school on ya for this one. Im gonna go with George Blanda. The man passed, kicked and punted. He played 3 positions all first string. I know the punter and kicker are only on the field a few times but, he masterd three skills in the game and played them all on the first team. Quite an acomplishment. I know you can say look at the guys who are playing two positions today on offense and defense. Lets look at the training of yesterday compared to todays. Those guys back then had to work their regular job then train and go to practice. Im sticking with George Blanda. And the length at which he played. I think he was 48 when he retired. And Reggie Bush as all around rookie back this year? From the guy above...................ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!But with so many different positions and things you cant say one player is really better than another. Peace out........

I would have to say LTD or Peyton Manning as the best players in the NFL at the moment. They might have people around them but even if they don't they make up for it. Peyton lost Stokely for almost the whole year and still pulled it off. The best rookie this season would have to be Joseph Addai and in a close second Vince Young.

It depends on what position you are talking about. A QB cannot be compared to a LB for instance. I like defense because it wins games, so I would have to say Zack Thomas, although his team did not do too well. If your going to talk about offense, Reggie Bush was probably one of the best all around rookies this year.

Ok dude who said Tomlinson you freaking ROCK HARD

Ok I live in San Diego so I loveloveLOVE the Chargers

Tomlinson is great, but the Chargers just resort to running him over and over play after play. No wonder the other team stops him after a good run. Switch it up.

Anyways, Tomlinson, Freeney, Vinatieri, Brady

well firstly it depends on what position, frank gore had a poor o line but ran hard nd picked up over 5 yards per carry, then u could say peyton manning at qb but look at his supporting cast, an o line that allowed 15 sacks in the whole season and 2 top notch WR's
