Yes, giving the Bank of England independence was a good move providing people realise that where the appointment of board members are in the gift of the government how can it be truly independent?. As for anything else Brown has done to benefit the majority of the people of Britain I think not. This is now the most heavily taxed country in Europe. Money spent on the NHS I hear someone cry,ever been to France or Germany and seen clean efficient hospitals?. Policing? well with children being murdered in their own homes perhaps not. Lost your pension benefits?. Well Gordon had his hand in the till there.

He is the Chancellor for the super rich. What's more he only did well for the first few years when he stuck to Tory economic policies. Since then he has reverted to Socialist principles for which all tax payers are paying the price with nothing to show for it. 'twas ever thus.

NO! he has robbed us all blind with stealth taxes and taken
money from private pension funds, leavin millions destitute!
I understand he is contemplating having another dip, This so
called "working mans gov't" is probably the worst since WW2.
God help us if he ever becomes P.M.
Remember all these tax hikes at the next G.E!
