If the problem is that you don't have money for a ticket back to Atlanta, then here are a few suggestions:

1) Contact family members for a loan
2) Ask several friends for a $25 loan ... if 6 friends go for it you will have enough for a bus ticket and food on the way ... be sure to pay them back!
3) Contact local social services ... it's a longshot ..
4) Contact local churches ... 50/50 chance there for help
5) Go to a temp agency for a few days worth of work
6) Panhandle (not MY preference ... but, well, it's an option)

Good Luck.

Call me kooky but, why don't you jump in a cab and go to one of the 3 LARGE airports in the area and fly to Atlanta ? there's about 300 flights a day there from NY, at any hour ?
