Do you think there will be more people using Shell than BP in the U.S.? Or the other way round? What will be the reason then?

BP is more prevalent, certainly here in the mid-east states of the USA. I suspect, though, that is primarily due to the Amoco takeover a few years ago.

If the hype is to be believed, BP is well ahead on alternative fuel sources. It costs a fortune to convert to solar panels these days but the cost will surely come down (if it doesn't we're all in deep doo-doo) and any company placed to take advantage of that will clearly make money.

Both are struggling. Shell probably is doing a little better in some countries than BP.

In many developing countries, though, BP is doing better!
