'They are not that bright. Because of the deaths of children, they banned all legally held hand guns (yes, an Olympic sport is now a crime in this country). The government couldn't offer a realistic price for surrendered guns. So if the government offered you say £400,and another licence holder, who maybe wasn't quite as pure as you offered £600, or £800 then it's an easy choice. Before the ban, legally held guns were used in 0% of crime (i checked). Now guns flood the streets.

The Government never really resolves the real issues. To Ban hand guns was to deprive law abiding citizens of a Sport that they enjoyed at their Gun Clubs, while the criminals don't give a shi t about bans. Instead of investing in local areas to give the youth something decent to do Local councils are just fleecing everyone with their council Taxes to increase their own wages and make life better for themselves.

Government members are strangers to morality and care only for their own ambitions, Successive governments pay children to carry guns by encouraging them to join the Territorial Army while still recognsing that they are too young to make a decision in an election, a 16 year old can be trained to shoot and kill in the T.A. but that same child is too immature to vote???

Because they have to be seen to be doing something. Lowering the age will not stop the gun gangs, they'll just give a younger person their gun to carry.
Parents need to start checking their offspring, bad behaviour starts in the home.

I think its the same with any problem with our Government. Everything is OK untill it bites them on the *** - then thats when they'll deal with it.
