This is from an american university websight,to answer ppl who say that Islam order Muslims to convert ppl by forse or kill them, false cause
Allah has stated clearly in the Qur'an (translation),

[2:256] There is no compulsion in religion; truly the right way has become clearly distinct from error; therefore, whoever rejects Satan (and what he calls to) and believes in Allah, he indeed has laid hold on the firmest handhold, which shall not break off, and Allah is Hearing, Knowing.
Hence, it is impossible to accept Islam under duress. Even if misguided Muslims were to try to `force' Islam somehow on others, it would not be accepted by the Creator based on this verse.

Historical arguments that try to demonstrate that Muslims did not `convert others by force' are actually secondary to the argument given above. However, it is worth noting that historically, Islam did spread by peaceful means. The Message of the Creator was conveyed to Africa and to southeast Asia by trading Muslims,

Unfortunately, like any religion, things can be taken out of context and made into tools of hatred by bad people.

However, to think that Islam as a whole does nothing about stopping terrorism? That's incredibly foolish. Terrorism does not just affect the West. People are killed by suicide bombings every day in many Islamic countries, and the governments there are working to do the very best they can to protect their citizens.

Just because the American news makes out that the USA and the USA alone can protect the world from terrorism, doesn't mean that a) the world is even at threat and b) No one else does anything about it.

Realistically, more muslim people die every day from "terrorism" than any westerners, and certainly more than any Americans. America didn't care at all until someone came and blew up a tiny, miniscule part of their country, and then they blame the very nations who have been trying to stem the bloodshed for decades.

There is nothing inherently violent or criminal about Islam, people should definitely be more informed. Reading about all the atrocities of the crusades might lead you to believe that, in terms of violent beginnings, Christianity has shed far more blood and destroyed many more lives than Islam could possibly do in a hundred years (not that a minority of people aren't trying)

There are good people & bad people in every religion. It just happens that the bad Islam people kill children & old people, marry young girls as little as 11, they do drugs, brain wash there young to think blowing themselves up in a cafe is honorable, commit honor killings. These people are messed up. Normal people, including normal muslims, are scared of these wackos & should be. People that try to equate terrorists to freedom fighters just show there ignorance to what is really going on with terrorism. your Avg islamic doesn't go around sliting there own daughters throat.

simple words, but generally untrue. Mohammad himself had many wars to capture and convert non-Muslims. It is written in the Qur'an that conversion is a necessary part of the faith. While the Qur'an itself can be depicted as a basically good book, the section on Jihad is not good and should have dropped from a religious manuscript. Jihad preaches convertion by force if necessary and if a warrior for the faith should die while fighting for the faith then he will immediately go up to heaven where the 72 virgins are waiting for him and all that stuff. Read the Jihasd section of the Qur'an and you will find many saras that talk of conversion and killing.

The fact that the Koran states that is immaterial to the fact that some(10-15%) view it otherwise . !0-15% of 1.3 BILLION is over 100 MILLION . Now that's something worth talking about !!!

Radical Islam is the killer and the question here.. . . not the Koran .

In other words, simply because there's a book that advises otherwise, doesn't mean it's not happening !!!!

It was the Prophet Mohammed himself who attempted to negate the positive image of the Jew that had been prevalent earlier. According to historian Bernard Lewis, the Prophet Mohammed's original plan had been to induce the Jews to adopt Islam; when Mohammed began his rule at Medina in AD 622 he counted few supporters, so he adopted several Jewish practices-including daily prayer facing toward Jerusalem and the fast of Yom Kippur-in the hope of wooing the Jews. But the Jewish community rejected the Prophet Mohammed's religion, preferring to adhere to its own beliefs, whereupon Mohammed subsequently substituted Mecca for Jerusalem, and dropped many of the Jewish practices.

Jews faced the danger of incurring the wrath of a Muslim, in which case the Muslim could charge, however falsely, that the Jew had cursed Islam, an accusation against which the Jew could not defend himself. Islamic religious law decreed that, although murder of one Muslim by another Muslim was punishable by death, a Muslim who murdered a non-Muslim was given not the death penalty, but only the obligation to pay "blood money" to the family of the slain infidel. Even this punishment was unlikely, however, because the law held the testimony of a Jew or a Christian invalid against a Muslim, and the penalty could only be exacted under improbable conditions-when two Muslims were willing to testify against a brother Muslim for the sake of an infidel.

We know what you say but we see what you really do. Words only work on the liberals. As long as we don't see you actively working to arrest them or shut down the groups that do this you are simply a liar.
