The picture I have looks beautiful, and the foliage even looks good, but I was wondering what it looks like when it gets colder?
does it die back to the ground every winter in temperate climate?
any comments about it and how to grow it?

Hyssop is a perennial. It will die back in the winter, cut back dead stems in early spring. The flowers and leaves are fragrant and edible and used for craft projects. Medicinally it is used as cardiac, diuretic, purgative, and vermifuge. Humming birds and butterflies enjoy it. Prefers full sun. My seeds have sprouted and will be set out in the herb garden soon. good luck.

My Agastache x Tutti Frutti{Anise Hyssop] did not come back, I live about fifty miles north of Atlanta, it gets into the mid 20's in the winter for a few weeks, perhaps more ground cover would of helped. You can collect the seed as the flowers start to fade and turn to seed. This is an excellent plant to use as an indoor flower arrangement. I love this variety of Agastache but there are two more that we grow called Blue Fortune, it grows to 3ft, june -oct.blue blooms and Firebird, yellow orange bloom,may-oct, grows 24". The Tutti Frutti variety is Queen.Good Plant to have, it is so cool, It makes you want to touch it and when you do it's hard to stop. Happy Growing to ya!!!!!!!!!
