Last month I thought I was pregnant, i got a pregnancy test done and it was negative but then again it was one of those ones you buy at a chemist. Well 6 days later my period arrived and I my flow was really heavy. But now I think I had a miscarriage. Can anyone help me, I'm really worried. Do I have to go to the doctor? If I did have a miscarriage the feotus was only 3 weeks old.

usually a miscarriage is very noticeable, even if you didn't know you were pregnant. like is the flow so heavy you have to replace pads/tampons every couple hours or less? are there blood clots or "chunks"? do you have severe cramping and pain? are you fatigued? if it is simply just heavier, then you didn't miscarry- it could just be more hormonal or changes it diet, stress, etc. If you have any of the symptoms of a misscarriage i listed above, get to the hospital so they can clear you out so you do not get an infection and make yourself sick!! Otherwise, you should be safe!!

If your period was during its regular time, you most likely DID NOT have a miscarriage. If you've been bleeding extremely heavy or more then usual you should think about visiting your doctor. If this heavy bleeding was accompanied by excruciating cramps, then definitely get to the doctor as soon as possible. It might not be a miscarriage but it could be something serious. You could have a cyst that's causing you to bleed irregularly or you might be hemorrhaging for whatever reason: Stress, illness, you never know. If you start feeling ill or faint get to the doctor immediately.

Many women miscarry w/out even knowing that they were pregnant. As you said though, your test was negative so I do not think that you were actually pregnant. It sounds like a particularly hormonal month for you. Unless the bleeding persists and you are in pain, you need not see a doctor. There is nothing s/he could do anyway.

Go to your doctor. The pregnancy hormone can still be detected after 2 or 3 weeks. Get an exam.

Kitten,

These problems should not be decided by strangers at Yahoo! answers...if you have had a miscarriage, you are now at risk for severe infection, and may impair your ability to carry to full-term later.

You need to be seen by a M.D.

Nobody can tell you if you did or not but your doctor. If it's been a month already, you are probably in the clear as far as any infection by now.

Sounds to me like you weren't pregnant in the first place.
