There are two registers/Electoral Roll:
Edited Version
Full Version
The Local Library will have the Edited Version for that constituency. The Edited version is just that, an edited version of the full register. People who tick the box when the Elector forms come around do not get put in the edited version.
The Edited version is also sold to anyone who wants to buy the information.
The Full version is NOT allowed to be in any Library or Public Place.
The only people that should have a full register are the Credit Reference Agencys, Local Policital Parties, The Local Authority/Council and the DCA.
Also you could try BT's online telephone searcher, or even a telephone book.
