You have nice pairing talent...you should b a member of BCC
Well coming back to ur question.. we can't allow Sourav to be an opener...though he plays well and is and excellent batsmen and has a good amount of experience...he is a bit tensed while playing...
I'll tell u where he fails...
He is tensed when put as an opener
He is tensed when he scores 49 and 99... for he is under the pressure to take a half century or a century...watch him closely you'll feel the same...but he has to be in the team...he is a sort of sentiment to our team...his presence makes us win...
SO the first two and the last of ur options are out...
Uthappa is an excellent player and should be an opener.....He can help in increasing the score....so on the other side we can have sehwag for he can run faster than litlle master...but we can also have sachin for he can give us big shots..
Big shots increases the score than the single runs taken between the wickets...
So I prefer Sachin and Uthappa as the best openers for our team.
Am I right?

Sehwag and Sachin would be the best openers for the Indian team because if we get to a good start the middle order will get confidence and we can get to a good target of about 300

The most successful opening partnership for india in one day internationals has been Sachin Tendulkar and Saurav Ganguly. However, in the present circumstances it will be better to open with either Ganguly and Uthappa or Sehwag and uthappa. by doing so, you wil,l have a strong middle order.
