You must be a cranky old teacher who's forgotten what it means to be an asshole teenager sitting in a classroom :) .

Maybe you thought they had no life but they actually did. It is possible that these people just didn't want to let you in on their plan's or to let you know the real them for fear that you may want to hang out with them.
