Are you asking about the colonial rulers of Africa? It was occupied by the Great Britain, France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Germany and Portugal.most of the north west were French colonies, while the north east and south were mostly British. The other occupied the places in between.

all the colonist had 1 common thinking and aim that is exploitation of African continent for gold and other metals,diamonds,ivory,timber and SLAVES.
so there was no code of conduct or common law as such.
rules were in favour of rulers.
nothing was in favour of Africans because they were considered as subhumans or savages and uncivilised.
