Yes, I had problems with Limewire - twice. Caused all sorts of weird things to happen to the system. Best way to fix it is DELETE Limewire altogether and live without it. Fixed the trouble immediately and no further problems!

You need a really good virus protector for Limewire, because as well as viruses, there are a few worms, adware and shareware that the program is prone to. These aren't viruses as such, they won't distroy your computer or anything like that, but they might make you have lots of popups or something like that. Your virus protector should be good for any file sharing program though.

Not *because* of limewire, because of viruses downloaded using limewire ;) I'd recommend stay far away from programs and .rar/.zip files that are around 100-500KB in size. They are more then likely virus programs.

Its fine to use as long as you are sensible about what you download. Movies and Music are fine as they cannot infect your computer, but don't download games or apps and even Word Documents.

And if you mean by "got into trouble" going to prison, then you are more likely to if you are the one ripping the stuff in the first place and less likely to if you are just downloading it.

Cant say i have- Apart from a lack of hard drive space. it sets apart the needed space b4 the download finishes, so if im downloading a 300MB file and its only 2% finished, it will still take up 300MB. i have about 20 files like this that cant find sources, and its wasting alot of space.
