go to you local delivery office, explain this to the clerk, get compensation form.

If amazon paid for special delivery then they would have the serial number that " tracks " the book, therefore can follow its destination til the end and find out how signed for it, OH YES clever stuff being able to track via computer.

It is up to amazon to prove that they sent it via special delivery, if they can't or haven't then they have broken the terms and contracts argreement.

hope this helps wg

if it was sent special delivery..whoever sent it will have a tracking number which they can tap into the royal mail website so thats worth a try...ask them for the number maybe?

i also think that this service has a built in insurance and the postman HAS to get a signature for the delivery..if not - he should put a card through your door telling you that you have to go and collect it. i would get on to their customer services on line..good luck - frustrating isnt it?!!

sounds like one of your neighbours got it instead! tell Amazon and tell the post office, see if you can claim on their insurance. You should be covered up to a round $20. or so
