Snakes will defecate 95% of the time after feeding and digesting their meal.
This is definitely not the time to be handling or having the snake around your neck. You will have a big wet surprise if you do.
The anal canal is near the base of the tail and is called a cloaca. This is also the site to determine wether the snake is a male or female, mating and egg laying (if it's a female).

Any animal that eats must also deficate. What goes in must eventually come out. Eating creates waste and it must be expelled somehow. A snake will deficate through it's vent which is a slit like opening toward it's tail. They also pee and mate through this vent.
Both snakes and lizards will often poop in their water dish. They will lay in the water dish and since they will take in water through the vent it helps them to deficate.

They most certainly do, and only the urine which comes out usually in hard pellets are called urate and that is what is white and looks like bird droppings. They usually pass those when they deficate. The smell is the worse thing I have ever experienced. When my boa first went, I thought my 8 year old took a dump behind the chair or something. Not that she ever does this, but it smelled so bad I would never have thought it came from a snake. Plus, it was like soft dog dodo, horrible. Even my little ribbon snake's smells so bad that it is hard to keep from gagging.
Plus, haven't you hear of the kid's book "Everyone poops!"

Yes. Go pick up a garter snake and see what the first thing it does to you after it bites you.

Snakes, like birds, have only one opening for expelling waste. Their "feces" is a substance resembling bird droppings.
