Her name is Chrissie Hynde, and she isn't dead. She is still singing and playing the guitar, and she is very active in PETA. She's been in a few songs, like the Tube & Berger "Straight Ahead" and Ringo Starr's "Don't Hang Up." She also did a guest spot in Friends.
