Yes, Pluto was cast out of the planet club to be classed amongst other pieces of space debris as a 'Dwarf Planet' as it did not meet one of the three requirements to be classed as a planet. It has not 'cleared it's path' through the space debris!
There has been considerable opposition to it's reclassification and it may yet sneak back into the club.

Yes, Pluto is now called a dwarf planet instead of a planet. In fact, you should consider Pluto as a big asteroid (just like Ceres that was also reclassified along with Pluto).

It's now a dwarf planet, along with Ceres (in the asteroid belt) and Eris (the new dwarf planet outside the orbit of Pluto).

First of all there is a difference between "no" & "know". Pluto is "no" longer a planet because of its small size compared to other planets.

It depends on your definition of "planet"!
The yahoos at the top of the food chain changed the definition slightly and changed Pluto's status. I remember reading somewhere that, according to strict interpretation of the new definition, Uranus and Neptune should also lose their status because of Pluto's irregular orbit.
Poor Pluto! No respect!

Pluto may be quoted as an asteroid suddenly getting grip of the Sun's gravitational force. This is what people think at the moment.

That is true - its just too ickle.
My "Dr Who" annual 2007 still states it is a planet, so I'm shocked that even the Doctor got that one wrong.
