The song is "Across the Universe"--Fiona Apple covering John Lennon's original song. If you like the song, the Pleasantville soundtrack is cheaper than Fiona Apple's album.
I really like the movie. I've watched it several times.

I haven't seen that film in a long time, but is it that slow song? Are you thinking of Fiona Apple's version of 'across the universe' (originally by John Lennon.) ?
And yes, that film is fantastic. I loved it. Great concept.

I think people have always been people exactly as we are now. Just in the fifties and such they were more secretive and hidden about it. I would not like to live like that. I much prefer living as I am now open and free with internet access.
