This depends on what exactly you are trying to do.
is your objective to be a general user (with focus on some software)...or some kernel programming...or maybe shell scripting...

also, is there a flavour which you NEED to study ?

I suppose it really depends on the package you choose. I use Ubuntu and thusly have the Ebooks for the package.
