Well, student would not be able to play truants freely as there are malls that ban school uniformed students entering them. People would take note if they are walking around with them. With their school badges, people would easily identify which school they are from if emergencies happen making it easy for them to contact the school.

Students would feel a sense of belonging and proud of their school. Students would look uniform, not totally different. Students would also learn in a proper manner as they do not feel totally comfortable and feel discipline.

Poor and rich students would be the same. No one would be showing off their new Prada or LV as everyone is wearing the same kind of things. Showing off may still happen but in a more discreet way.

Other than that, teachers would also have an easier time controlling dress codes. They would just determine the length of their attire rather than having to look, judge and ask themself if what the students wearing are appropriate or not.

I hope this helps. :)

My kids do not have to have school uniforms, but I could certainly tell you where I think they would come in handy.. in the picking out what to wear department.. if the kids wore uniforms THAT morning hassle would certainly be eliminated!

Also, kids who compare other kids by the lable they are wearing would be quieted.. uniforms put each child on a level playing field of fashion!! Hmm maybe then the kids could focus MORE on their education and LESS on tomorrows outfit!!

None I hate them... But I guess they would end a little teasing. But I would die with out my size 32's or my Hendrix shirt. lol. School uniforms are end to freedom of expression for students. I think students rights should be reinforced everywhere but hey thats just me.
But really if anyone is troubled by the common dress aparal of the average teen then invest in a dress code.

You can put your tie in your pocket, they send you home to go and get it, you hang out at Nathan's and play pin ball all day claiming that the door was locked at your house, and you don't have the key. "Thinking kid's way" !
