SHOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM IF YOU HAVE THE SPACE ON YOUR HD. DEFAULT SIZE IS 32KB

That other person has no idea what they are talking about.

The size is Ok. If the file was originially created with Outlook 2003 than it's possible to hold a lot more email than 1BG. You are still putting all your eggs in one basket and should hope nothing happens to the file.

If the file was created in 2002 or older, than the max size is 1.9 GB.

To check the format right-click on the folder in Outlook > Properties > Advanced button. The File type should say Personal Folders Fil and NOT reference 2002

The max theoretical size is 2GB. However, the practical limit ends up being about 1/2 of that, 1GB. Once a .pst file hits that size, Outlook begins to throw errors a LOT. Enjoy!
