I used to work with HSBC bank where we were optimizing the HSBC website for search engines. I recall reading some information that indicated that the answer to your question depends on who you ask.
In North America a predominant portion use Google Search.
However, this is not the case in Asian countries. Yahoo search seems to be the top-runner in many places like Hong Kong.
I don't remember any of the exact percentages, but I thought I could shed some light on this issue :)

i use yahoo, only because its my homepage ( i use it for email address)
