I think so- Hershey is an all American company... we eat their chocolate- they should be faithful to their consumers. What other candies should be boycotted? Kisses, for the slap in the face to their American employess on Valentines Day??? Anyone out there still feel it is important to support American made all the way???

You should first consider that M&M Mars is a completely different company than Hershey. Is your other information any more accurate?

You have a great sentiment but futile. So many companies (including the one I worked for) have left the USA and gone to foreign soil. I would boycott all of them and the ones staying here and charging too much for their products. The only way to ensure the growth and prosperity of US citizens is to find a way to lower the cost of living. Make the rich accountable for the ones who made them rich. We will never see that day as long as corporate america pulls the strings of the politicians. WE ARE DOOMED AS A COUNTRY. Accept it and the end may come swiftly. deny it and it will be a slow painful death. Boycott if you must, but I am already doing without so much,,,, I think I am already boycotting chocolate.

I never heard about this. Are you should its not a hoax or prank? it seems ironic and unlikely Hershey would choose valentines day to lay off 1300 people when valentines day is traditionally a holiday when everyone eats chocolate.

If Milton Hershey knew how his company was being run, he would roll over in his grave!!

He was, in my opinion, not only a fine man, but one of the best buisnessmen that ever lived. He was good to his employees, he did not elevate himself above the common worker, he supplied homes, schools, daycare, medical care, railroads, etc for his workers. He was just the best!

If he knew they outsourced to Mexico and laid off American workers, I think he would have been outraged!

are u nuts we should only buy from Hersey for going to Mexico we need more like them we need to help Mexico give them more jobs so they will stay there. at least they didn't go to India or some courtly like that and one plant in Mexico doesn't mean they are moving to Mexico lol. but why are u just boycotting them for going to Mexico? Chevy and fords are mostly made in Canada so why aren't u boycotting them?

I think any american company that closes its doors in the U.S. and opens in another country to hire cheap labor should not only be boycotted here, their product should not be sold here!

they are no longer shifting ALL their factories to Mexico...the sole Pennsylvania plant they're final and moving is the only in examining. the considerable factories on the city of Hershey itself are staying placed. yet confident, it nevertheless stinks.

no, because they did it because they are not selling enough m&ms. Buy more and maybe you could convince them to open factories in US.
