I cannot be certain that your pains you are having are the exact pains i had but when i had those pains in between breastfeeding, i asked my doctor and he suggested pumping in between because i was producing so much Milk that it was all the Milk build up. Now i would love to tell you that this is all it is but i cant be sure so if you are really uncertain of the pain and are worried go to visit your doctor, they are always there for help especially with new moms.

Could be thrush. I have had it on my nipples and my baby has it in his mouth so I have had problems continuing with breastfeeding because we pass it back and forth - it is proving very hard to get rid of it, but see the doc. Check your baby's tongue - has it become quite white? Alternatively, I read in the book Baby Love by Robin Barker (Pan Macmillan Australia) this morning that needle sharp pain could possibly caused by oxytocin release which tightens the muscles around the milk sacs, and that it gradually fades sometime in the first three months.

It sounds like thrush on the nipples. Very painful and the baby can get it too. Have you been on any antibiotics as this can cause it. Go see the doctor.

its because the baby is not draining as fast as you're filling. Get a breast pump and pump em dry. My wife had the same thing and it drove her nuts. Very painfull. Just pump em, fill the bottles and put them in the fridge for later. It helps!
