Ok my girl was really really upset tonight b\c her mom was more or less being extremely mean to her. And her stepdad was too. We talked and shes in a better mood (not bawling her eyes out anymore) but i can tell shes still upset...why cant i sleep?
Mind you my girl lives in utah so...

I think that you want to help her with her problems but cannot figure out a way to do it.
You are probably not in any position to help her directly. She'll have to work this out on her own.
However, you can be there for her. Encourage her to confide in you and to think through various solution sets.
In short, just support her emotionally. That's all you can really do at this point.

You can't sleep because you're co-dependant to her and you haven't set healthy boundries. Watch your alcohol consumption because you might be an alcoholic too.
