I feel that R.A.B. is Regulus. But for Snape, I have my own views.
According to me, he wants to be the ultimate Omni-potent wizard and is not only ditching Hogwarts but even the Dark Lord himself!!

I think R;A.B is the brother of the guy that runs the shop that buys and sells dark art. Tom Riddle worked there. I can't remember the name of the owner, but the last initial was B. Regulus Black is too obvious for JK Rowling.
I think Snape and Dumbledore planned Dumbledore's death as a contingency. Dumbledore knew that to get Snape clear with Voldemort, he had to do something to convince him. Dumbledore would be willing to sacrifice himself for the greater good, and I want Dumbledore to be right, that Snape was on the good side, even though he seems like a rat.

R.A.B. is almost certainly Regulus (Arcturus ?) Black .. It's the most plausible theory so far, anyway.
I think Snape's evil, but I'd have to read Book 6 again to give you a fully detailed reasoning.

Regulas Black most probably. JK Rowling just before the release of the 5th book said Snape was a nasty person, and that 'I would watch out for him if I were you.' It was a quote I read somewhere. So I believe sadly, Snape may very well be evil and Dumbledore's death, a senseless act of murder.

I agree with the Regulus Black bit, but I still think Snape was and still is loyal to Dumbledore and the Order. Just 5 more months and we will all know!

I think RAB is Sirius' brother as well. Snape in a snake...I have never liked him and I don't think his loyalities lie with the Order.

I agree that it probably is Regalus Black, but you can never be sure with J.K.Rowling.
As for Snape, I think he killed Dumbeldore because Dumbeldore didn't want Draco Malfoy to become a Death Eater. I think that Snape's loyalty lies completely with Dumbeldore.
