I am in the market for a low to mid end gaming laptop.....I mostly play WoW and FPS's like halo, css, and far cry. I currently have a 3 year old laptop with a 64mb geforce go 440 that actually plays all those games listed pretty well....problem is its only a direct x 7 card and its starting to get old.....these are the 2 new laptops I'm looking at...

LAPTOP #1.......$900
intel centrino dual core 1.73 ghz
256mb geforce 7400
80 gig hd
1 gig of ram

LAPTOP #2.......$810
AMD turion 2.0 ghz single core
256mb geforce 7200
80 gig hd
1 gig of ram

Both these laptops are the same brand/model just the cpu and gpu are diff. I am usually an AMD man but if the 7400 is a big jump from the 7200 I'll go with intel.

Let me know what you think.

No question. If you're gaming, definately go with the #1 with the dual core. you'll have a much better gaming experience.

Hi for gaming go amd dont go intel.
Also check out the site below its hp (Hewlet packard) and I just bought the computer of my dreams there.

Its, you ready for this man? 17 screen! Dual core and excellent video card in it. Has web cam built in and plays movies. I got it with the best monitor they had and 2 gigs ram.

Also vista plays games much faster, smoother and it comes with that.

You can get one cheap there and then add memory later so you can get the laptop cheaper.

When you go to the site below click LAPTOPS then click AMD and you'll see the one I got.

ITs not just a laptop its a desktop replacement and the only computer you ever need. If you have a desktop also you could even sell that for money since you wont need a desktop with this one.

Laptop # 2,

You know better AMD is first choice compare to Intel.
If you will ask me for gaming then I will choose Desktop instead of Laptop. As it will help me to upgrade my VGA gaming card.

I would definitely go for laptop #2 - there is not enough difference in the geforce.
