Like ideas to make it more realistic. I would use orange construction paper around a lamp or something to make a fake fire, but I don't have construction paper... Right now on my laptop, I went to paint, made pictures of flames, and put them in windows movie maker on "fade", then recorded a crackly noise and added that... It looks cheesy though. I want it as realistic as possible :) Then I put a few lawn chairs on a green rug in front of it to look like grass... I have a summer night sound soother that isn't working, which would really add a woodsy effect. That sucks lol. Is there maybe a website that will just play nature sounds? I am totally determined to get this really realistic as you can see :) Other ideas are greatly appreciated too! Please no sarcastic remarks. If you aren't gonna be nice, don't answer this :) I hate people like that.

If you have plain white paper or newspaper, paint them with egg yolk. They'll dry quickly and will look crinkly, like fire when you have the light behind it. If you have food coloring, add that to water and dip paper into that for your "orange" construction paper replacement. Look at your clothes, too, for yellows and reds. If you have a little portable fan, use that to drown out other sounds you might hear and place it so that the paper your use as your "fire" ripples a bit. Your sense of smell is important. Use a baking tin and dig up a several spoons of soil from your yard, the browner the better. If it's dry, add a bit of water and place the pan out of sight but nearby the fan so that it blows the aroma of the soil at you. If you can find any dried leaves of grass outside real quick, add them to the moist soil in the pan after thoroughly soaking them in some water. Chill the room you're in a bit by closing off the vent.

Here are a few short nature sounds, just for fun:

Add some bird songs. A quick net search shows several sites where you can find them. One is below. You could also search the net for other sounds that might help.

Depending on where you live, you might be able to open a window to have fresh air. If it is cold, that will be all the more like camping.

Perhaps you could toast some marshmallows somehow.

i think of it relatively is great. would desire to you stir the air with a fan? upload fragrance with decrease pine boughs? Make a hearth ring with a low table and a hotplate, and you are able to cook dinner over the campfire. A kerosene lantern does not value plenty, yet verify to apply lamp oil in basic terms. no longer gas. you will get an ornamental oil lamp or a great-unfold kerosene lantern. a evening gentle to simulate moonlight for once you're interior the tent. A radiant heater to bypass with the fake campfire. an incredibly stable fake campfire takes making plans, yet you're able to do it with wood, colored cellophane strips, a evening gentle and a small fan blowing up for the duration of the logs to rustle the cellophane and make it wave upright. i'm getting jealous now. Will you let us know the way it is going? I ought to have performed this an prolonged time in the past through fact I certainly have an entire length woodsy mural over considered one of my livingroom partitions, like a image on wallpaper. yet i've got not got everyone to rejoice with it with.
