I come home from work and I find my guy friends mother has been over, in my house again, and heating up tomato soup with milk for herself and burns the pot badly. I say he should scrub it out. she wont. one pot i had to throw out, I think she does it on purpose, one day i took all my pots into the trunk of my car, We had a huge argument over that, anyways, I say he should tell her or clean the pot if he can.

Yes! Have him or her clean the pot because there is no reason you should have to clean up after her. Besides, she is damaging your stuff, and I know pots are not particularly cheap.... Also, it's YOUR stuff, so if you don't want to let them use it, that's entirely your right and pretty much warranted since she is damaging your personal property.
Good luck!

If you are fighting this much over his mother and pots there are other issues going on. If you really want to stay together though then you need to have him talk to her about the pots. If she burns something in one ask him to have her soak the pot with hot soapy water and a used fabric softener sheet. It helps break down the burned on food so it can be cleaned easily. If he refuses to address her about it then tell him it is his responsibility to clean them.

I'm with you, sister. And, I like the idea of keeping your pots in the car trunk, too.
Sounds like your guy friend and his mom may not be the sharpest knives in the drawer.

Absolutely!
Clean up after yourself!
Dont use my pans if youre going to burn them
Get your own pans.
Is the guy gay?
Sounds it!
You tell his mother, hey, this is my house these are my pans.
respect my pans. You wouldnt want me to go to your house and break things would you, so thats all I ask.
And tell him, if he wants his mother here, shes goign to have to respect your stuff. Otherwise it might be time to talk about parting ways.

i think you should just say'WOULD YOU MIND HAVING YOUR MOM WASH HER DIRTY POTS WHEN SHES THROUGH' ?? people sometimes only reach the levels that we expect of them. if you expect a higher level of courtesy from the guy and his mom, then you may find that they will surprise you and rise to a higher standard.it sure beats having to lug pots and pans around. you sound like me ,years ago! best wishes

If he's choosing his mother over you, it's time to find a new boyfriend.
