I am working on a paper and am have come across some data on states that do allow students to drop out before 18 - it does not give any indication as to how many this is?

I could be mistaken, but I believe most states allow a student to drop out at 16. Most students have graduated by 18. P.S. when you drop out at 16, it has to be with a parents permission, at least in Maryland.

Yes I know that 16 is the age which one an drop out pretty much across the North East US I would look into a few states that aren't in this region and see if you uncover something more concrete and footnote worthy. Then go from there
