I'd like to erase my name on an awful blog website so it won't appear in google.

How do I do that?

That happened to me, and it isn't anything funny. Sometimes if you post a link to a website under your comments, some search engines will take you to that particular blogsite, and worse than that, the blog that was written. You may also notice that sometimes when you type in a url it will take you to a link that leads to some comment that was said by someone on "My Space".

Write to the blog site and report it as spam if you can and they will delete that message (as well as ban the spammer), but there may be other stuff in there that you don't see. Send all of the requests that you can until they fix it, and they should be happy to help you if you let them know what to do for you. Also, and very important, remove the cookies for that site, because if you leave them up, you will not be able to see a change when they fix it unless you use a computer that has not been there. Most people have their cookies set to delete automatically after 30 days or so, so anyone who has seen the blog and not returned will not see it again after the cookie expires.

Anyway, keep asking them to remove the blog, it will take a couple of days for them to get the message.

As for the search engine, you may not be able to change that, but if you ask the blog site to help you, at least there won't be a page to visit when someone clicks on that link.

I hope it works out for you.
