When I fell in love... because her mere presence is bliss.
That was the time when we went to Singapore. We run out of cash. All we had was our plane ticket back home. We shared soup together to fill our hunger. Inspite of the hunger, I felt so secured that she was there seated in embrace with me. I was happy... and I believed she was.
Until now, we are. We learned to be contented of whatever we have and treasure each other's presence.

My needs and desires that require money have fluctuated over the years. Sometimes I'm content to just spend time enjoying what I already have. Sometimes I want more stuff or travels that need money. As a small business owner of a service industry, I have the flexibility to work more or less hours; and I do depending on my spending needs.
Having the ability to enjoy your own company while wandering through life, and visiting local sites or travel far is hard. It's needed at times, but so is the company of a dear companion. The extra person always seems to add to the desire to spend more money on both our parts.
Enough money is needed for the bare necessities: Food, shelter, clothing, and the means to get to work. Too much is both wonderful and an evil that can be painful to achieve. If you love your work as I do, then those times that are needed to work and save for the other spending times, isn't so bad.
I want to be on my deathbed saying I had a wonderful life and lots of laughs. My only regret is my lifelong search for that dear companion has been a never ending "nagging in my ear" and draws me to work just to keep my mind busy.....

About 14 years ago when my youngest son was born. I took 5 years off work to take care of him till he started school. I did not have a lot of money at the time but we sure had a lot of fun together.
Love and blessings Don

When your car breaks down.....your mother gets diagnosed with colon cancer and clinics deny her medical attention because she lacked insurance....when your gas/electric bills are too high to heat your home and you have 3 children....when your husband is disabled in an accident and left to raise his family on SS disability....when a wife finishes an associates degree and B.S. in college and still can't find a job to save her family.....when a miscarriage leaves medical bills the size of the grand canyon and telemarketers and bill collectors are steady calling for money...when you had a psycho ex-boyfriend still creating chaos in your married life because you share a child....when you have to stand in line at the Salvation Army so your children may have a Christmas......AND YOUR STILL SMILING AND STILL ALIVE AND BREATHING AND THANKING GOD FOR YOUR HEALTHY CHILDREN--THEN YOU KNOW YOU DIDN'T NEED DIRTY ROTTEN MONEY TO BE HAPPY---YOU NEEDED WHAT YOU'VE HAD ALL ALONG.....YOUR FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think money is necessary not for happiness as one writer said, but is necessary for good health and a safe place to live. My head tells me having money won't give me happiness, but my heart tells me it would be great fun to try.
It is easy to say having money is unimportant when one has a lot of money. One of my friends who is retired and has six pensions to live on tells me this!

when I saw an ailing child smiles on the very sight of its mother which ultimately make the mother confident and lead to pray the almighty the great, silently , for the recovery of the child, totally making her forget everything around. only the involvement and the affection were the conspicuous aspects

Never. It is not possible to be happy when hungry and homeless. Food and housing cost money. Therefore money is required for happiness.
