It is imposible to delete ie by mistake on any windows os. IE forms part of the operating system and to remove it a user has to know exactly where to go. You can't just go to add and remove programs and delete it there. You have to actually go to add/remove windows components and uncheck the internet explorer and Outlook Express from there to have it removed from the system.
What this means is that you probably just deleted the shorcut from the desktop or star menu or something. You can get it back if you'll like by going to My computer, click the local driver (usually C:) then programs files, click Internet explorer folder, and here is IE. Here you can right click the IE icon and click send to and choose desktop.
Taddaaa' you have another Icon of IE in your desktop.
If this doesn't work, go to http://microsoft.com and click downloads on the left side, if ie its not on the list, search for it and you'll find it. Download IE7 or 6 whichever you prefer. Good luck!

Try and re-download it. (http://www.microsoft.com) If not try and do a system restore back two weeks ago when you didn't delete it. But re-installing IE should fix the problem. You can even upgrade to the new IE7 if your computer meets all the specifications.

no problem. i also had the same problem. open windows cd and click on 'install windows optional components' option and select the internet explorer check box and and continue with the installation.
Note: If any other thing is selected unselect them and continue because they are already installed on your machine, by selecting them, the computer may uninstall them.

If you deleted it by using the windows components box in the add and remove programs, you should be able to go back and recheck the box and it should come back.
failing that do a search and down load a version.
