I am a Kennedy assassination scholar and if you are going to base your opinion on the actualy forensic evidence there is absolutely no doubt at all.

None.

Lee Harvey Oswald.

1. The bullets came from a rifle he owned
2. His prints were found on the rifle
3. He took a mysterious long package to work with him that day but didn't leave with it
4. He was witnessed holding the rifle and looking out of the windeom from which the shots were later fired only 15 minutes prior to the assassination
5. He was the only employee of the Texas Schoolbook Depository to fail to return to work after the assassination
6. He fled the area within 90 seconds of the killing
7. When stopped and asked routine questions by a Dallas police officer he shot and killed him
8. He hid in a movie theater and when police tracked him there he tried to shoot another police officer during the arrest

Additionally, there is not one speck of evidence, NONE, that Oswald was hired by the CIA or the Mafia, or the RUssians, or the Cubans, or the Boy Scouts or ANY other organization. Please note that of all the answers you've received mine is the ONLY one that actually refers to real evidence. Even the poster above that wants you to believe the CIA was behind did not give a single speck of evidence to support that bizarre belief. And why didn't he? He knows as well as I do that there isn't ANY evidence to support his belief.

As boring as it sounds, Lee Harvey Oswald, acting entirely alone planned to and DID shoot President Kennedy alone, on the 22nd of November back in 1963.

This case is closed.

People will argue over anything. They will do so without evidence. In some cases they will do so without much thought. Good luck sorting things out.

There is an argument that JFK was responsible for his own death. His actions stirred the country in ways that were unimaginable at the time. Some say that he influenced change too quickly for the culture to keep up.

There is a lot of conflicting evidence including many mistakes in the investigation and care of the body. The best guess is that Lee Harvey Oswald did it. There is no hard and indisputable evidence. Conspiracy theories lack evidence as well. There is more circumstantial evidence pointing to Oswald than anything else.
For example, the nitrate test to show that he fired a rifle was only done on his hands. His face should have also been tested since going to the bathroom would also leave nitrates on the hands. The mistake doesn't prove or disprove anything. It is very interesting that so many mistakes were made. It is also interesting the way the damage to JFK's body cannot be replicated with cadavers. It should also be noted the JFK's brain is missing. Again, nothing to prove or disprove anything. In spite of all this, Oswald is the one who appears most guilty.

Historically, the assassin is Lee Harvey Oswald: that's the official line on the JFK murder subject. I've read (and laughed) at The Warren Commision report; the "Magic Bullet" theory is a sad joke.

There were some outright gross mistakes in the arrest, investigation, handling and further investigation into the Kennedy/Oswald connection; it's hard NOT to give conspiriacy theorists serious listen.

I've read several theorist books and their views on the murder....and find their points rather interesting. The recent appearance of a NEW never before released film, taken just before JFK's death now holds keen interest. There is NO doubt areas of the JFK matter were covered-up (yes....sigh...for National Security reasons....) and if anyone today is alive that has reason to be 'nervous', this new film footage may give their hearts a stir.

And yes: there ARE several more films and pictures of the JFK murder still out there, just like this new film, sitting dormant in someone's closet, attic or drawer--evidence that may cast a final light on what really happened---and who really shot JFK.

But as it stands now, Lee Harvey Oswald did it.

I see no reason to doubt the Warren report that it was Lee Harvey Oswald who shot President Kennedy.

However, Oswald's motive may not to have been to kill President Kennedy. About 15 years ago, I read a story in the newspaper in which the author said that Lee Harvey Oswald was probably really trying to kill Governor John Connolly of Texas. While he was Under Secretary of the Navy, Connolly apparently fired Oswald from a job he had in the Navy. Oswald felt that he could best make his statement against the now Governor Connolly by assassinating him during a presidential visit. Instead, as you know, Connolly was simply wounded in the shootings.

My father had dinner with both Bobby and J.F. Kennedy.and talked with them both personally a few times. He researched it for many years,He said the C.I .A. with the help of the mafia is who did it..
That Oswald shot all those times that far away.with a lever action old rifle and shot perfectly .that fast, in like 3 seconds?and the Angle wasn't right from the way the blood splattered and the Way the shot went threw his head. no way Oswald did it,alone anyway.witnesses pointed at the hill.the witnesses all died RIGHT after that.
The C.I .A. is still going strong with evil.

were a nation of sheeple people.

Ok, I've kept this secret long enough. I did it. I was paid by Elvis, who was approached by the knights templer who were afraid that the Roswell Aliens were going to spill the whole secret of the codes in the Da Vinci painting and tell the Cubans where Atlantis was.
